Metro HC is an elite level field hockey club based out of Loudoun County, VA. Our players are motivated student athletes who achieve the highest levels of success in the community, in the classroom, and on the field.

Katie Knapp

• Head skills coach for the Great Falls Field Hockey Program of more than 100 players in Fall of 2016.
• Assistant Field Hockey and Lacrosse coach at St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, VA including an undefeated season in 2012.
• Played at University of Virginia making a Final Four appearance in 2009 as a sophomore before transferring and playing for University of Richmond in 2010.
• Played for the Mid-Atlantic High Performance Team in the USA Field Hockey National Tournament in 2010
• Graduated from University of Richmond, Robins School of Business in 2012.

Tracy Bannister
Head Goalie Coach, Assistant Coach U16/U19 

• As a graduate of Ball State University, Coach Tracy earned a letter for all four years in field hockey and served as the starting goalie for her final three.
• Currently coaches field hockey for the Generals at Washington-Lee High School.
• Years of coaching experience in field  hockey, soccer, and track and field.

Kaela Goodwin

Richard Hayden
Technical Consultant, Advanced Skills Coach

Coach Richard first played field hockey in middle school in Ireland. He played competitively through school, college and as an adult in Ireland and England at the national level.
Recently he has represented Team USA at the Masters' Hockey World Cup. 

• Leads the USA Field Hockey Futures (Olympic Development) Program in Northern Virginia since 2010
• Coached medal-winning teams at the Junior Olympics and at the National Futures Championship
• Stone Bridge High School Varsity Field Hockey Head Coach
• Participated in the Level III USA Field Hockey Coaching program (highest US level)
• Currently serves as the Coach Director on the Board of Directors of USA Field Hockey, the national governing body for the sport
• Umpired at high school and college level, including the Virginia High School State Final and college post-season games.

Rachel Barlett

• JV Field Hockey coach at Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, VA maintaining a winning record throughout her tenure at the school including an undefeated season in 2015
• Played at the University of Connecticut where they were consistent Big East Champions and had two Final Four appearances during her last two years
